Picnic is still on!

The chance of rain is 50%, the minimum percentage to consider moving lunch to our house. The sky looks alright and the chance of rain in Hastings is slightly less than here in St. Paul. We'll chance the rain this afternoon - the picnic shelter at Schaar's Bluff is not reserved so we have shelter if it does rain.

Swedish Butterhorns (cinnamon crescent rolls) are in the oven - join us!

June 6 Location

Location:
Spring Lake Park Reserve

Picnic Spot:
Schaar's Bluff Trail.

Website:
http://www.co.dakota.mn.us/parks/spring.htm

The map link will not work. Go to the above website and download the Spring Lake Park Reserve Trail Map. The 1st page details Schaar's Bluff. You will see two picnic icons. We'll meet at the location furthest to the right/east.

This park also has several entrances - you will want to enter via Idell Avenue to Scharr's Bluff archway

This will probably be the last location to the Southeast. I'll choose a northern or western location next.

Lebanon Hills - Portage Lake Picnic Shelter

The first picnic club location was a success!

I highly recommend Lebanon Hills. The park is beautiful and the frogs were loud.
